European Week of Sport in 2022: New #BeActive Award and call for applications!

The European Week of Sport is continuing to spread the #BeActive message – this year, with innovations focusing on Youth, in line with the European Year theme for 2022. The Opening Ceremony will take place on 23 September in Prague, while pre-events for the European Week of Sport are happening already, such as ISCA’s No Elevators Day.

In the meantime, a call for the #BeActive Awards applications has been launched. From this year on, the #BeActive Awards are open directly to citizens and organisations in the EU Member States and third countries associated to the Programme (Rules of contest). 

The deadline for submission of applications for the 2022 #BeActive Awards is 19 May 2022, 17:00 CEST. Candidates can submit their proposals here. 

Another novelty of this European Week of Sport edition is a new award category called #BeActive Across Generations, which will reward projects promoting the inter-generational sport. This award category is looking to honour the promotion of activities adapted to all generations, awareness-raising across all generations for healthy lifestyles, as well as easier access to sport and physical activities for all generations.

The #BeActive Awards Ceremony will take place in November.
